When and how did you get started with RCF?

I go to the same church as David Maxey and Jazmin Brue and our families have been good friends for a long time.  David often talked about crossfit and Jazmin and I started thinking about doing it to help make us better mountain bikers.  Finally about a year ago we got the courage and signed up together!

Mom and piano teacher.

Favorite WOD:

Any that don’t include running!  I really like it when they involve gymnastics.

Favorite Movie:

The Incredibles

Favorite Food:

Huge life goal:  Follow Jesus’ words in Mark 12 to Love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength, and my neighbor as myself.

After that:  to be the best wife, mom and friend I can be.

Lastly, to bike, climb and crossfit as much as possible!

Be a great piano teacher, and maybe after my kids graduate go to college again and get a different degree.

Advice to new members or someone looking to start CrossFit:

You will LOVE it!  You don’t have to know how to lift weights or be at a certain fitness level before you start.  When I started I couldn’t tell you the difference between a barbell and a dumbbell, but all the coaches are absolutely amazing and willing to patiently explain things to beginners without making you feel silly.  I am so thankful for what I have learned from every coach and it’s really fun to always have new crossfit goals to strive for!  The people who I get to work out with are amazing and create an atmosphere that is really encouraging and motivating no matter how hard the workout is!
