When and how did you get started with RCF?  My lifetime buddy Cameron from Casper, WY had been telling me about Crossfit and trying to get me to try it out – I was definitely intrigued by it.  Then Rushmore Crossfit moved in literally across the street from our house.   I had no option but to try it and I am glad I did!

Occupation: Property/Casualty Insurance Adjuster

Age:  31

Favorite WOD:  Any WOD with Cleans or Rowing.

Favorite Movie:  I am a movie guy so this is hard…but you can’t beat Happy Gilmore for a comedy.  Mindy and I saw A Star Is Born this last year in theatres and that was a pretty awesome movie..

Favorite Food:  Buffalo Wings, a very close second – prime rib.

Goals

Personal:  Just to become better in all aspects of life each and everyday and to help people in need when the opportunities arise.

Professional:  To grow within the company I work for and to end up in a management type position someday.

CrossFit:  My goal for Crossfit has been and always will be to get the most out of my workouts.  Like Adam Marcus always says “Are you sweating?  Are you breathing hard?”  That is the ultimate goal.

What time do you usually attend and what’s the best part about working out with that group?  I’m almost exclusively at noon classes, I do a few other classes from time to time but noon is my jam.  The regulars at noon are just down to earth cool people and there are a lot of good athletes.  This environment, I have learned, makes for a friendly-competitive environment which helps you get the most out of your workouts.

What’s in your most frequently used emoji tab?  Thumbs up!

What’s the first CD you ever bought?  Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Greatest Hits.  RIP Tom Petty.

What’s the last thing you searched for on Google? Gumbo recipes (I thoroughly enjoy cooking).

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?  Hmmm…I’ll go with grellow (mixture of green & yellow) because green has always been my favorite color and I enjoy lemon desserts

and because I don’t think there is a grellow in the crayon box currently!

What is something we don’t know about you?  In college, I started my own Professional Window Cleaning business and I continue to do it today as a side gig (Rapid Window Cleaning).

Advice to new members or someone looking to start CrossFit:  I would say first and foremost do not be intimidated by it.  I have spoken to several people who have interest but are too intimated to try it.  Just get in and try it out but give it at least a month as there are so many variances to it that you need several classes to fully grasp what it all entails.
