Spicy Korean Beef Bowls

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochujang, and ginger to the skillet. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice. Top with shredded carrots, cucumber slices, green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.
